Indian School, Al Ain was established in the year 1977 by a few hardworking and enthusiastic philanthropists of the Indian Community in Al Ain. It was a time when the Indian community was slowly expanding and there were no educational facilities for their children in and around Al Ain city.
The school had its modest beginning with a handful of small kids in a rented building in Kuwaithath area. As the time progressed the student strength also increased and accordingly the school was shifted to different localities in Al Ain with better facilities. In the year 1982 H.H. Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the then benevolent ruler of Abu Dhabi & the President of U.A.E., allotted a plot of land to the school in Manasir area through H.E. Sh. Tahnoon Bin Mohd. Al Nahyan, the ruler’s representative in the eastern region.
