Jad’s Inclusion (JI) is a non-profit special education center structured as a school for children with mild to moderate learning difficulties or delays aged between 4 – 16 years old. These children do not get accepted or cannot be properly managed by mainstream schools, and should not go to special needs centers, as their disabilities or delays are not severe enough. They are simply left behind with either no schooling or very little. JI is a much-needed center in the region to cater for these children and fills the existing gap between mainstream schools and special needs centers.

Making a difference in the lives of students of determination, The Rashid Centre for Students of Determination was established in 1994. Since opening, we have been faced with many challenges to achieve the State’s strategy and the vision of its wise government, which did not only look at this category but also created a vision of faith, empowerment, employment, and integration for the students. We have accelerated the development of our ever-evolving Centre, which supports children from the age of 4 years, with a variety of disabilities including, physical, learning, and Sensory. We are proud that we offer a wide-ranging curriculum and a therapeutic approach that includes vocational training that has led to some of our students gaining employment.

The Bridge concept was born when the Assistant Principal of a mainstream school and a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, realized that if they combine approaches, they could offer a unique experience; One that met the needs of the Students of Determination currently struggling in the mainstream classroom. A combined wealth of knowledge and experience prompted them to create an approach that encapsulates best practices from each discipline: Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Applied Behavioral Analysis, Educational Psychology, and the rigor of mainstream classroom pedagogy; delivered alongside the high standards of the British National Curriculum.
